News from missionaries in Kyrgyzstan
August 2007
Greetings Everyone!
We made it safely to Kyrgyzstan after mega hours of travel. The excitement of coming back helps get one through. Walking here, we see the beggars, the displaced, the drunkards and hopelessness on peoples faces and we know that only a very few know Christ. We are reminded of Jonah 4:11. “Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand.”
The Lord gives us opportunities to share His truth and love with the lost. Sometimes it is simply telling a poor elderly beggar that Jesus loves him. This week there will be a gathering of presidents and leaders from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan for a summit meeting called the SCO. Pray that their decisions will lead to continued open doors for the Gospel here. There has been talk of pressure being put on the Kyrgyz government to expel all the expatriate workers from here. This would include us.
The Lord Bless you!
